For the September Very Important Business Event, we hosted a workforce panel discussion for Obion County employers. The panel included Jennifer Bane and Lana Wood with the Northwest Tennessee Workforce Board, Kim Watts with ATA Employment Solutions, and Susan Newbill with Tennessee Department of Human Services.
On August 18-20, Brooke Simmons attended the TCCE Annual Conference in Knoxville, Tennessee. This was a great opportunity to learn from other chamber executives across the state as well as attend meaningful education sessions to help bring new ideas to Obion County. Pictured to the right, is the conference attendees.
The 2021-2022 Adult Leadership Obion County class recently completed their first session with UT Martin Team building day. The class spent the day learning more about one another and ways that they can collaborate to help make Obion County better. They then traveled back to Obion County and had lunch sponsored by Simmons Bank.
Chamber members,
We are fortunate to live and work in a region where countless opportunities exist to be involved in the community, as a business owner, employee, or visitor. Perhaps the best work we can do is sell Obion County to everyone with whom we come into contact. From outdoor activities to family adventures to relaxing evenings, we have something to offer everyone. We’ve got something to brag about; let’s do it!
We want to say a big congratulations to all of those who made the 2021- 2022 Adult Leadership Obion County Class! You guys are amazing!
