NASHVILLE, Tenn., Dec. 4, 2020 – The Trump Administration today announced that the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is investing $75,000 to assist Discovery Park of America in rural west Tennessee.

If you have not visited Kenton, Tennessee you are missing out on one of the true hidden gems in northwest (and possibly, all of) Tennessee - White Squirrel Winery! Located on the Sanderson Family Farm, White Squirrel Winery, offers a romantic winery and vineyard, serving a variety of delicious wines, homemade soaps and candles.

The Union City Elementary School PTO was the recipient of a generous deed and donation from Allen’s Paint and Supply recently. Owners Bucky and Stephanie Allen, whose daughter, Olivia, is a kindergarten student at UCES, presented a $500 check to Principal David Byars to pass on to the school support organization.
Located adjacent to Discovery Park of America, Houser Creek Crossing is home to 2 hotels. The Sleep Inn / MainStay Suites opened late August 2019, and Holiday Inn Express & Suites, opened in September 2020.
Both hotels boast indoor pools, fitness centers, and meeting rooms. Unique hotel features include themed Kid Suites inspired by Discovery Park exhibits at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites. The Sleep Inn / MainStay Suites has an ever popular grilling and gathering patio behind the property on the Discovery Park of America fence line. Another feature that entices groups and individuals who are visiting Discovery Park of America is the pedestrian gate that offers a welcoming back door entrance to the DPA campus.

Cavalier – a Union City High School senior – has been named as a National Merit Scholarship semifinalist after scoring in the top 1 percent of more than 1.5 million students nationwide to take the PSAT/NMSQT (Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test). He and other academically talented high school seniors across the county who made the semifinal list are now in competition for more than 76,000 scholarships worth more than $31 million in the 65th annual program.
