The Tennessee Supreme Court appointed four new members to serve on the Access to Justice Commission, effective April 1, 2022. They include Sara E. Barnett, Adolpho A. Birch, III, Lindsay Frilling and Kendra Mansur. “The Tennessee Supreme Court is pleased that these individuals accepted the Court’s nominations to serve on the Access to Justice Commission,” said Justice Jeff Bivins, Supreme Court Liaison to the Commission.

Union City, Tenn.— Green Plains Inc. recently announced a $100,000 donation to the Obion County Fair Association Tornado Relief Fund. This donation will be used to assist those Obion County residents affected by the December 2021 tornadoes. The funds are to be dispersed through the United Way of Obion County.

We were able to attend the 110th annual meeting on February 22nd for the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The keynote speaker was Burke Nihill, Tennessee Titans President and CEO.

The Adult Leadership Obion County class enjoyed Education Day on February 2nd. The class was able to visit local elementary and high schools as well as the Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Union City campus. It was a great day learning about education in our community!

Low-interest disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) are available to businesses and residents in Tennessee following the announcement of a Presidential disaster declaration due to the severe storms, straight-line winds, and tornadoes on Dec. 10-11, 2021.
"SBA's mission-driven team stands ready to help Tennessee small businesses and residents impacted by this disaster in every way possible under President Biden's disaster declaration for certain affected areas," said SBA Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman.
