With sessions on where we are heading in the tourism industry post covid, capitalizing on agritourism, and downtown strategies, we were able to leave the conference refreshed and excited about rural tourism!

On Thursday, September 2nd, an Obion County community group traveled to Corinth, MS to visit with their Alliance team. The Alliance consistently embraces innovation to provide a superior level of excellence to the community as well as solutions for their clients and prospects.

State and county representatives, as well as Tennessee Department of Transportation members, met to kick off the paving of the new Interstate 69 Bypass in Obion County.

On August 18-20, Brooke Simmons attended the TCCE Annual Conference in Knoxville, Tennessee. This was a great opportunity to learn from other chamber executives across the state as well as attend meaningful education sessions to help bring new ideas to Obion County. Pictured to the right, is the conference attendees.

The 2021-2022 Adult Leadership Obion County class recently completed their first session with UT Martin Team building day. The class spent the day learning more about one another and ways that they can collaborate to help make Obion County better. They then traveled back to Obion County and had lunch sponsored by Simmons Bank.

The 2021 Annual Obion County Fair was a huge success from the livestock shows, local exhibits, amusement rides, and more! Pictured to the left is the kickoff ribbon cutting on Saturday, August 21st. The fair was 9 days packed full of events for families to enjoy.
