SBA Offers Disaster Assistance to Businesses and Residents of Obion County, Tennessee, Affected by the Recent Floods

Tennessee businesses and residents affected by the August 3-4 floods in Obion County, Tennessee, are eligible to apply for low-interest disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration. If you are located in a declared disaster area, you may be eligible for financial assistance from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

Disaster Loans available:

  • Business Physical Disaster Loans - Loans to businesses to repair or replace disaster-damaged property owned by the business, including real estate, inventories, supplies, machinery, and equipment. Businesses of any size are eligible. Private, non-profit organizations such as charities, churches, private universities, etc., are also eligible.
  • Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL) - Working capital loans to help small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture, and most private, non-profit organizations of all sizes meet their ordinary and necessary financial obligations that cannot be met as a direct result of the disaster. These loans are intended to assist through the disaster recovery period.
  • Home Disaster Loans - Loans to homeowners or renters to repair or replace disaster-damaged real estate and personal property, including automobiles.

Permanently Closes: Friday, Sept. 22 and will only be open from 9 am to 4 pm this day.

The TN 20002 Disaster Declaration physical damage application deadline remains open through November 6th, 2023, and the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) application deadline is June 5th, 2024.

Customer Service Representatives will be available at the DLOC to answer questions about the disaster loan program and help individuals complete their applications.

Relief for victims of the flood through Beulah Baptist Association

If you are a victim of the recent flood and need any assistance, please stop by the Beulah Baptist Association Office at 2126 W. Reelfoot Avenue, Union City, Tennessee 38261, to fill out in-take forms. Our office will receive in-take forms from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Thursday. The deadline to fill out an in-take form is Thursday, August 24th.

Would you like to volunteer?
Those who wish to volunteer to help with flood victim relief can also report to the Beulah Baptist Association Office.
