It also presents an opportunity to fully explain the tremendous importance of TVA for business and industry, our citizens and their public safety, and the economic development of our state.

Dyersburg, Tennessee – The U.S. Department of Education announced that Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) has received renewal for two federal TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) grants and approval for funding for its fourth year of a 5-year grant for TRIO Upward Bound.
According to a survey conducted by Destination Analysts, Tennessee was the fifth most visited state during the summer travel season. Additionally, Great Smoky Mountains National Park had year-over-year growth for recreational visits, according to data provided by the National Park Service.
tnAchieves, the non-profit partnering organization to the TN Promise, is in need of volunteer mentors to support local students in the college-going process! Mentors spend about one hour per month reminding students of important deadlines, serving as a trusted college resource, and, most importantly, encouraging students to reach their full potential. Many TN Promise students will be the first in their family to go to college and need just a little extra assistance.

Recently released numbers from U.S. Travel Association show tourism in Tennessee hit a record-high $23 billion in domestic and international travel spending in 2019, marking a decade of consecutive growth. Tennessee also saw 126 million domestic person stays in 2019, up 5.7 percent from 119 million the previous year.
ATA has increased its ranking from 147 to 136 on the 2020 INSIDE Public Accounting (IPA) Top 200 Firms list. This accolade is deemed by the IPA Annual Survey and Analysis of Firms. IPA 100, 200, and 300 firms are ranked by U.S. net revenues and are compiled by analyzing the more than 550 responses received this year for IPA’s Survey and Analysis of Firms. This is IPA’s 30th annual ranking of the largest accounting firms in the nation.
