Discovery Park of America unveiled four electric vehicle (EV) charging stations that will allow visitors to fully charge their vehicles while they visit the museum and heritage park in Union City, Tenn.

Obion County, Tenn. Tourism Development Committee Makes Funds Available for Tourism Marketing Initiatives
Obion County, Tenn. – The recently appointed Obion County, Tenn. Tourism Development Committee has launched a program for individuals, companies, and organizations to access funds generated by the hotel/motel tax. Grants are available for special events, festivals, and initiatives that demonstrate the ability to attract visitors and generate overnight stays in Obion County, and increase business at area shops, hotels, and restaurants.

In December 2021, a deadly tornado ripped through Obion County and devastated many homes, businesses, and families in its path. Sadly, our county also experienced a loss of life. Our Chamber of Commerce is honored to have participated in the tornado relief efforts that took place throughout our county and helped mend some of the brokenness left behind.

Obion County has been awarded for economic development by receiving the ThreeStar award from the State of Tennessee. ThreeStar serves to promote economic and community prosperity through collaboration to positively impact Tennesseans.
On March 14th, we were able to celebrate The Bridge with an anniversary certificate. They have been serving Obion County for 10 years now, growing tremendously along the way. Happy Anniversary to The Bridge!
Hosted by the Delta Regional Authority, the inaugural Delta Summit brought together community leaders from across the eight-state DRA region to discuss and learn more about the region’s opportunities for economic development, rural revitalization, and community resiliency.

We were able to attend the Tennessee Chambers ICE program this month. The event was full of information to help chamber professionals continue developing meaningful programs in their community.
