Annual Governors Conference for Hospitality and Tourism

It was a great time to learn more about industry trends, where we are headed, where we have been, and how we can enhance tourism in our own community at the 2021 Governors Conference for Hospitality and Tourism.

Community Trip

On Thursday, September 2nd, an Obion County community group traveled to Corinth, MS to visit with their Alliance team. The Alliance consistently embraces innovation to provide a superior level of excellence to the community as well as solutions for their clients and prospects.

September V.I.B.E.

For the September Very Important Business Event, we hosted a workforce panel discussion for Obion County employers. The panel included Jennifer Bane and Lana Wood with the Northwest Tennessee Workforce Board, Kim Watts with ATA Employment Solutions, and Susan Newbill with Tennessee Department of Human Services.

Annual Banquet

We had an incredible annual awards banquet on Tuesday, September 7th at Discovery Park of America. We would like to say THANK YOU to those who sponsored, volunteered, and attended this celebration of Obion County business.

For August's Very Important Business Event, we heard from Elizabeth Pritchett with Eliz Pritchett Consulting on how to better utilize Facebook your business. We learned that Facebook has so many features that are helpful in advertising and engaging customers!

Annual Governors Conference for Economic and Community Development

On Thursday, August 5th, we attended the annual Conference for Economic and Community Development in Nashville, Tn.

I-69 Paving Kickoff

State and county representatives, as well as Tennessee Department of Transportation members, met to kick off the paving of the new Interstate 69 Bypass in Obion County.

Annual Tennessee Chamber of Commerce Executives Conference

On August 18-20, Brooke Simmons attended the TCCE Annual Conference in Knoxville, Tennessee. This was a great opportunity to learn from other chamber executives across the state as well as attend meaningful education sessions to help bring new ideas to Obion County.
