The Obion County Chamber of Commerce is celebrating its centennial anniversary this year. The Chamber kicked off its 100-year celebration with a live music event, sponsored by Total Tech Solutions, at Discovery Park of America on Thursday, February 23, 2023.

Doors opened at 5:00 p.m., and the event featured live music by Randall French, John McDaniel, and special guest Darryl Worley. About 75 people, including board members, chamber members, friends, and supporters, gathered to commemorate the milestone and enjoy the performance.

The event was set into motion with a brief history of Obion County's Chamber by Lindsay Frilling, CEO of Obion County Chamber of Commerce, and introductions by Chaz Robinson, CEO of Total Tech Solutions. Scott Williams, President and CEO of Discovery Park of America, also talked about the importance and benefits of live music.

As Robinson's company, Total Tech Solutions, had recently sponsored a new performance stage in Obion County, Williams asked Robinson why live music in the area matters to him. He answered, “Live music, just like you said, is family. Live music is healing. It’s good feelings; it’s bad feelings. It's meant very much to me. I’ve met a lot of great friends."

He said he ultimately chose to partner with and support the Obion County Chamber of Commerce so that others in the area can experience success and the same kind of relationships he has, thanks to music.

The first event that will be held on the new stage is Rhythm on the Rails, featuring more live music, on Friday, May 5, 2023.
