Leadership Tennessee to lead “Vote Tennessee” effort

By JEFF GLOR CBS NEWS
March 4, 2019

NASHVILLE – Leadership Tennessee, the state’s preeminent leadership organization, will lead “Vote Tennessee,” a statewide effort to increase voter registration and education.

“Vote Tennessee” began as Project Register, a nonpartisan initiative launched in 2017 by U.S. Rep. Jim Cooper (D-Tennessee) and State Sen. Steve Dickerson (R-Nashville) to boost voter registration in Middle Tennessee.

Committed to collaborative, nonpartisan dialogue, Leadership Tennessee is a natural fit to take this project across all three Grand Divisions as Tennessee ranks 45 th in the country in voter registration and 49 th in voter turnout.
