The USDA Rural Development (RD) office located in Union City, TN serves a large (9) County Area in Northwest Tennessee. These counties include: Benton, Carroll, Crockett, Dyer, Gibson, Henry, Lake, Obion, and Weakley. With such a large service area, the local Chambers of Commerce for each area are our lifeline to each community.
I am Donnie Walton, Assistant Director of the Tennessee College of Applied Technology-Newbern (TCAT-Newbern).
TCAT-Newbern has been training students in the Obion County and surrounding areas since the late 1960s, and has campuses in Newbern, Bells, and Union City. It is an honor and privilege to provide our area citizens with the high skilled training needed to become successful citizens in Obion County.
I'm Amy Keathley, Certified Radio Marketing Consultant with Thunderbolt Broadcasting, a group of radio stations including KYTN THE NEW QUAKE in Union City; and WCMT AM & WCMT FM and STAR 95.1 in Martin.
The Obion County Chamber has been a wonderful asset to not only my position, but to my company. We have worked closely hand in hand over the years in networking through various Chamber Events, including the Obion County Chamber Banquets; ribbon cuttings, and Business Matters. I have been very blessed to meet many different people from interesting backgrounds, and have learned much more about the community in which I live in.
Greetings fellow Chamber members, I'm John Fry Agency Manager for the White & Associates Insurance office here in Union City. White & Associates Insurance is an independent insurance agency group serving our region since 1976 with locations in Southeast Missouri, West Tennessee.
I have had the good fortune of managing businesses in Union City and Obion County since 2002. Before that I worked in management for businesses in other communities. I have had the opportunity to work with several Chambers and while they all have strong attributes, they stand in the shadow of our chamber. When asked to come up with a few words to describe what our chamber means to me, I realized that I would have trouble keeping it to just a few words.
As one of the oldest members of the Obion County Chamber of Commerce, I am honored to have been asked by Katie Keathley to share my thoughts about the benefits of Chamber membership.
As I explained to Katie, it has been a long time since I have been active in the work of the Chamber, so I will reflect on the benefits I enjoy as an ordinary Chamber member who is no longer in leadership.
