We enjoyed our day in Nashville at the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry 106th Annual Meeting & Legislative Reception!!

We enjoyed the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Listening Tour at the Dixie with TN USDA Director Jim Tracy and other individuals from TN ECD. Did you know Obion County has received five grants totaling $580,000 over the last three years?!

What a turnout! Thank you to everyone that attended The Citizens Bank open house and ribbon cutting! We are happy to have this beautiful new bank in a wonderful location. Visit them at 1304 W Reelfoot Ave in Union City.

The Tiny Baker is located at 514 South 1st Street in Union City. They have a variety of different sweets such as cakes, Petit fours, cupcakes, cookies, and more! We are ecstatic to have a bakery in historic downtown Union City and cannot wait to watch this business grow!

NASHVILLE – Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam and Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe recently approved nearly $25.5 million in Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), which assist communities with infrastructure improvements, health and safety initiatives and facade improvements in downtown commercial districts.

“I congratulate the 66 communities receiving the CDBG funds,” Haslam said. “By investing in themselves, these communities are taking steps to create better a working and living environment for their citizens, and helping Tennessee lead in economic development, putting us one step closer to our goal of... more here"

The Young Professionals of Obion County celebrated their first official year as an organization! With over 40 members, 4 professional development sessions, 4 networking events, and over 20 hours of community outreach, YPOC had a great first year! Our next event is Tuesday, March 27th, so mark your calendar. More details will be available closer to time.

Thank you to Sassafraz in Union City for hosting our group and for also providing us with appetizers! If you are looking for a great event space, friendly staff, and delicious food, make sure to visit them!
